​Wynfield was established in Huntersville in 1988 and most of the homes were built from 1993 – 1995. Builders included D.R. Horton, The Howey Company, John Wieland Homes, Trotter Builders, and Robert Ingraham Homes. Huntersville is located just 14 miles from the center of Charlotte, and is readily accessible to Lake Norman and only 5 minutes from I-77.
