Notice to residents regarding Gilead expansion: Huntersville Township has posted the plans on their website.
Wynfield was established in Huntersville in 1988 and most of the homes were built from 1993 – 1995. Builders included D.R. Horton, The Howey Company, John Wieland Homes, Trotter Builders, and Robert Ingraham Homes. Huntersville is located just 14 miles from the center of Charlotte, and is readily accessible to Lake Norman and only 5 minutes from I-77.
We welcome you to our community and look forward to seeing you around the neighborhood!
The majority of homes are Colonial in style, with many of them being two-story homes. Another unique characteristic you’ll notice in Wynfield is how the developers chose to integrate the existing mature trees and lay of the land with the overall site schematic. As you drive down the Wynfield Creek Parkway you’re welcomed with beautiful mature trees and rich landscaping. Our amenities include lighted tennis and basketball courts, junior lap pool, playground, clubhouse, walking paths, neighborhood swim team, events, and parties.
Following the establishment of Wynfield, continued growth in Huntersville welcomed adjoining neighborhoods and communities including Wynfield Forest, Wynfield Creek, Macaulay, and Birkdale. Additionally, Huntersville has seen growth in the retail space with fantastic offerings such as the Birkdale Village outdoor shopping center and Rosedale Shopping Center, as well as the Huntersville Family Fitness and Aquatics (HFFA) center which hosted the 2005 US National Diving Championships.
